Lucille Watts • September 24, 2020

Circle Health Birmingham adds AMADEO, MYRO and the Tyrostation to its brand new rehabilitation centre.

The Ectron team recently attended the brand-new Circle Rehabilitation in Birmingham to deliver training on Tyromotion’s AMADEO, MYRO , TYROSTATION incorporating PABLO and TYMO.

The specialist rehabilitation centre which recently launched in Birmingham is the largest specialist rehabilitation hospital in the UK. The launch of the specialist centre has created an intensive rehabilitation hub with 120 beds that is supported by doctors, therapists and nurses from Circle Rehabilitation and the BMI Priory and Edgbaston Hospitals.
This will allow Circle Rehabilitation to support medically stable patients not only during the acute phase of their care but also during their recovery from conditions such as COVID-19, cardiac attacks, cancer and stroke.
The state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Centre in Birmingham offers medical and rehabilitation treatment programmes tailored to individual needs, goals and aspirations. Circle Rehabilitation has integrated specialist rehabilitation technology from leading companies such as Tyromotion to help give patients the best chance of a speedy recovery and a better quality of life.

By incorporating Tyromotion AMADEO, MYRO and TYROSTATION, patients will be able to have receive more accurate movement patterns, with a higher number of repetitions meaning a higher dosage of rehabilitation compared to more traditional therapies.

Chris Morden, Director, Ectron says
“With the research evidence and increased awareness in how Robotic Assisted Therapy can help accelerate and improve outcomes, more patients are requesting Robotic Assisted Therapy as part of their intensive neurological rehabilitation programmes. Robotic Assisted Therapy also helps to facilitate more cost-effective rehabilitation which is great for patients and hospitals alike.”

Circle Rehabilitation, Birmingham is ideally placed in the West Midlands for people in Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Stoke, Shrewsbury, Worcester and beyond. The hospital also has people who travel from across the UK.

We are so pleased to see our Tecnobody Solution at the neuro-rehab outpatient centre in Neurotherapy Worx. The centre, based near Wigan, started using the D-Wall at the beginning of the year and went on to include the Prokin 252, WalkerView, and Data Server devices. Clinic owner, Sarah Wilkinson's experience with the advanced motion tracking, analysis, and therapy programs of the D-Wall has led her to adopt additional solutions, such as the Prokin 252 for balance and proprioception, and the Walker View for gait assessment and training. This strategy is designed to motivate patients and supply valuable data to the physiotherapy team, potentially reducing recovery time.
